Shah Rukh summoned for Smoking in Public

Bollywood superstar Shah Rulh Khan has been summoned by a court in Jaipur for publicly smoking in the Sawai Man Singh Stadium on April 8 during an IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals.

The additional chief judicial magistrate's court in Jaipur has summoned the actor on the basis of a complaint filed against Shah Rukh by Anand Singh Rathore for smoking publicly.

Rathore runs a cricket academy for youngsters in Jaipur. He moved the court seeking a legal action against Shah Rukh for allegedly smoking at Sawai Man Singh Stadium.

He says that Shah Rukh is a public figure and his fans are following his style. If the actor will smoke in public place, it sends a negative message to his young fans.

He has the evidence that claims that the actor had smoked at the stadium while the match was going on.

Rathore also sought a probe why the was allowed to carry cigarette inside the stadium, while people usually are not allowed to have cigarette, match boxes, lighters and even water bottles inside the stadium.

In fact, smoking publicly has been banned in Rajasthan since 2000. The actor was also caught on TV camera, which was broadcasting the live of the tournament, while smoking at the stadium.

This is not for the first time Shah Rukh is facing trouble for his smoking habit in public. The actor was earlier criticised for smoking in public many times in cities.
