In a big development, social networking website Facebook has offered a Rs 70 lakh annual package to an IIT Kanpur student during the campus recruitment drive.
The student, who got the lucrative offer, was identified as Siddharth Agrawal (Computer Science and Engineering). A big placement drive is going on at the IIT-K campus. Over 950 graduates and post-graduates are trying hard to break into the high-profile companies such as Microsoft, GE, Facebook, Infosys and TCS. Around 200 companies are expected to visit the campus in the coming days.
