The much awaited world's cheapest tablet Aakash is now for sale online at the price of Rs 2,500. The Canadian major Datawind, the maker of the tablet said that the tablet will be delivered within seven days.
The customers need to visit www.aakashtablet.com and place their orders if they want to buy the cheapest tablet of the world. The company has put up on sale about 30,000 tablets online.
The company has been receiving more orders from users and corpoartes online. However, initially, the supplies will be limited for individual buyers.
The tablet is powered by Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS. It comes with 7-inch resistive touch screen, weighs 350g and has 256 MB of RAM. The device has a Arm11 – 366Mhz microprocessor and a 2100mAh battery. It supports Wi-Fi network.
The upgraded version of the tablet "Ubislate 7" will be launched in January next year. It is powered by Cortex A8 – 700 Mhz processor, runs on Android 2.3 OS, has a 3200 mAh battery. It will support both Wi-Fi and GPRS networks. It will be available at Rs 2,999.
