Idea 3G Smartphones launched in India

In an attempt to make the 3G network services more popular in India, Idea Cellular introduced a range of 3G smartphones in the country, which will be available at affordable prices.

Idea currently offers 3G network services in about 1,600 towns in India. With the launch of smartphones, the company eyes to spread the 3G services to the semi urban cities in the country.

The new range of Idea 3G smartphones will run on Google's Android 2.2 OS featuring great features. The phones will come with two sizes. The devices will offer varieties of apps and features including, FM radio, GPS Navigator software, MP3 player, Bluetooth, WI-Fi and integration of social networking websites such as Facebook, Twitter, Orkut and the Operamini browser.

The phones will be preinstalled with Google, Idea TV and YouTube. The 3G services have been popular in India due its multitasking capabilities and vast range of applications.
