Answering the Phone

An unanswered phone or one that is left to ring for a long time may be:
- A lost opportunity
- A way to upset the caller


Answer a call promptly. Three or four rings of the phone will give you time to:
- Stop what you're doing
- Prepare the answer the phone
- Pick it up and announce yourself


Answer a call efficiently:
- Have a pen and paper ready to take notes
- Announce yourself clearly
