Hours after Bollywood Actor John Abraham was sentenced to 15 days in
jail in connection with a rash driving case, he was granted bail by the
Bombay High Court.
Earlier in the day, John Abraham was sentenced to a 15-days jail term
by the Mumbai Sessions Court, which upheld the verdict given by a lower
court in 2010.
John had crashed his bike and injured two pedestrians in Mumbai's
Khar Danda area in 2006. He reportedly took the victims to the hospital
and took care of their medical expenses.
John Abraham was taken into custody soon after the Sessions Court
order. However, he was granted bail by the High Court on a personal bond
of Rs 20,000. He can appeal against the verdict in the High Court.
