Key Office Etiquette Tips

1. A messy desk is insulting, so be neat at all times. Never have personal work or grooming items around.

2. Do not eat lunch at your desk, if possible. If you have to, make sure no clients or customers are around watching you and that you clean up afterwards.

3. If you drink coffee or other beverages at your desk, use a ceramic cup or a plastic glass than Styrofoam cups.

4. Consider your office, whatever its size, as your home away from home, and judge every aspects of it in terms of its appropriateness - as you would wish your own home furnishings and ambience.
